The African Canadian Youth Exchange Program on STEM & Innovation operationalizes ACHIST’s vision of Pan-African connection at the highest level.

For too long, African diaspora youth in Canada have been disconnected from the scientific and technological renaissance taking place across Africa.

This program forges living ties between African Canadian communities and the continent through STEM and AI, grounding youth in a shared heritage of innovation and opening pathways to international careers and collaboration.

The program directly embodies ACHIST’s “Innovation Access Hub” model extended to a global stage and reinforces the community-driven, culturally affirming values at ACHIST’s core.

Highlights

Exchange Duration

3–4 weeks per stream (flexible by partner country)

20–40 youth per direction (outbound and inbound)

16–25 years (secondary and post-secondary students)

Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa (Year 1–3 targets)

Universities, research centres, technology hubs, government science agencies

Scholarships, corporate sponsorships, government grants, participant contributions

Comprehensive protocols, background checks, 24/7 in-country emergency support
