The African Canadian Centre for Innovation, STEM and Artificial Intelligence (ACHIST) is a national, equity-driven non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the full participation of African Canadian youth in Canada’s innovation economy.

Established as a specialized innovation and skills hub, ACHIST serves as a bridge between underserved communities and Canada’s rapidly evolving STEM and artificial intelligence sectors.

ACHIST responds to systemic barriers in education, employment, and access to opportunity by delivering culturally responsive, future-focused programming that equips youth with the skills, networks, and confidence to thrive.

The Centre is positioned to contribute to Canada’s economic growth by developing diverse talent pipelines in STEM and AI, while strengthening social inclusion and community resilience.

Mission

To advance equity, skills development, and economic inclusion by empowering African Canadian youth through accessible STEM education, innovation programming, mentorship, and pathways to careers and research.
